Gakken Plus Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Japan's leading publisher Gakken Holdings Co., announced on October 13 the launch of "CAPA asia," a website to provide information on photography for Southeast Asia, in commemoration of the Gakken group's 70th founding anniversary. Gakken Plus publishes "CAPA," the best-selling magazine on photos and still cameras in Japan. Since its start in 1981, CAPA has been providing high-quality information for photo fans, photographers, and camera makers. Now CAPA asia wants to spread the joy of photography in Southeast Asia by becoming a bridge between photo lovers and professional photographers in the region and camera makers.
